Tri-city Winter Ballhockey League follows all rules and regulations set by the OBHF.

These are additional rules to help with players playing in multiple divisions to keep it as fair as possible. Please respect everyone in the league and follow these rules. If your team is caught not following these rules your team will forfeit that game. Team rosters and players division status will be updated asap on the website.

 

 

Players Division Eligibility Rules

 

1.

E division teams are allowed to use 3 D division players or 1 C division player and 1 D division player per game.

 

2.

D division teams are allowed to use 3 C division players per game.

 

3.

To determine a player's division status works like this.

Captains will stat a player’s division status on their roster they hand in before the start of the season.

If a player’s name is on more than 1 roster they will have the division status of the higher division if they are a full time player with the higher division team.

If they are a part time player with the higher division team they will have the division status of the lower team.

If a player plays 6 or more games in any given division, they will have the higher division status.

Your status can change during the season to the higher division but not down.

If they play 5 or less games, they will keep the lower division status.

Responsibility is on the player deciding to change their division status to the higher division. 

You play 6 C Division games.  You are now a C Division player.

If you do not want to change your status and screw over your lower division team, do not play more than 5 games in the higher division.

 

4.

Players trying to move their status to a lower division must play one full season in the lower division with the higher division status then they would have the lower division status in the next season. Summer or winter league which ever they play in next. This will hopefully stop teams from sandbagging divisions and using higher division status players from season to season. 

 

5.

Players must play 6 or more games to be eligible to play in any division playoffs for any team.

 

6.

Captains must hand in a roster BEFORE the season even starts with full names, jersey numbers and division status of each player.  Rosters can be adjusted during the season. You will be emailed an excel spreadsheet of your previous winter roster to be updated and send back before the start of the season when you sign up. This information will be added to the Sportninja app and the website.
